Chairman, Nigeria Communication Commission(NCC) and one of the gubernatorial aspirants in All Progressive Congress APC of Oyo State, Prof. Adeolu Akande has withdrawn his gubernatorial ambition from 2023 general election.
Adeolu Akande made this known to naijatodaynew.com this morning that the cause of his withdrawal was that the government said the political appointees could not participate in the primaries.
He further stated that he had written a letter to the party to indicate his withdrawal from the race because there’s a government circular which says that ‘Political appointees could not participate in the party primaries, since they’re incumbent Political Office Holders.
