Oyo State governor ,Seyi Makinde has assured that disagreement between two elders in the Pan Yoruba Socio-cultural Organisation, Afenifere will soon become a thing of the past.
Makinde made this assurance on Tuesday at the Subomi Balogun Conference Hall, University of Ibadan at a closed door conflict resolving meeting held including other elders in the group.
Speaking to newsmen after the meeting, Makinde said the move is necessary at resolving the rift that brewed in the group prior to the 2023 general elections, noted that the country needs unity and believes unification of the two aggrieved elder- statemen, Pa Ayo Adebanjo and Pa Fasoranti would engender better social, political and economy of the country, Nigeria
Governor Makinde implored the south-western citizens to embrace unity as only through this better governance and democracy could be achieved.
