The Taraba Police Command has confirmed that there was an attack on its station in Lau Local Government Council of the state in the early hours of Saturday.
Confirming the incident, the state command Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Abdullahi Usman, said the attack occurred at around 2am.
He said the bandits stormed the community in their numbers in search of a particular person and decided to attack the station when they could not get their target.
Though no casualty was recorded, Usman said the bandits succeeded in disturbing the peace of the community.
Some of the community members who spoke with newsmen said the bandits, on arriving the community, shot sporadically in the air.
