The atmosphere at the ancient Ogbomoso township received unusual buzzling last weekend with the visit like never in history ,such volumes of prominent and distinguished Nigerians from all walks of life in one swoop .
From Thursday,the last day of July ,the guests thronged the settlement of Senator Hazmat Ayoade Adeseun, a politician of note,who has bestode the nation’s political landscape in such enigmatic style.
The guests ,who arrived in droves from different parts of Nigeria and overseas , particularly different zones of Oyo State ,got all major hotels fully booked ahead of the August 1st birthday 🎂 celebration of 73rd impactful years of existence on the planet 🌎 earth, similarly to celebrate thej turbaning as Asiwaju and Baba Isale Adinni of Ogbomoso land alongside the installation as Agbaakin Majeobaje of Ibadanland and his delectable wife as Yeye Agbaakin Majeobaje of Ibadanland.
The triple celebration ,neatly packaged into one as usual depicts Senator Adeseun’s maverick potential to excellently organize situations in a most coordinated capacity.
From all zones of Oyo state particularly,Oke Ogun,Oyo , Ibarapa and Ibadan,all prominent political figures,most especially in the All Progressives Congress (APC) had thronged the Onipanu residence of the distinguished politician of note from Ogbomoso extraction .
The guests have all joined the entire Ogbomoso to celebrate this prodigious gift to the ancient town as the attendants revealed the presence of the entire Ogbomoso block ,cutting across political divides.
The attendance override political affiliation of PDP,APC,ADC nor any political association ,rather it was an assemblage of all political figures ,spanning decades of participation in the activities
Dr Saka Balogun,Senator Brimoh Yusuf,Alhaji Ejide,Senator Fatai Buhari,Wolekanle,various past and serving Executive chairmen of Local government Areas in Ogbomoso land were all present to honour a towering political figure ,whose service as a public officer has continued to attract encomiums,more than 10 years after exit from public office.
As Ogbomoso stood still with numerous illustrious sons and daughters,who united to celebrate Senator Hazmat Ayoade Adeseun,so also were distinguished Nigerians from other parts of Oyo state
Amongst the callers at the triple celebration were Chief Zacchues Adedeji Adelabu,the FiRS chairman in Nigeria,the federal minister of power,Chief Adebayo Adelabu, Senator Yinus Akintunde,Hon Olamijulo Alao Akala,Hon Akeem Skimeh and other serving politicians ,in executive and legislative capacities .
They all joined the long list of past public figures,who have once dominated the political scenes within and outside Oyo State like the former Deputy Governors of Oyo state: Chief Moses Alake,who was Late Gov Abiola Ajimobi’s deputy and also that of Late Alhaji Lam Adesina,in person of Barr Iyiola Oladokun.
Prominent political gladiators who graced the occasion also included Mogaji Abass Oloko ,Mogaji Demola Elepo,former LG chairmen of Ibadan North East,Arole Gbenga Obasanjo and that of Lagelu,Alhaji Kazeem Gbadamosi,who came in team , possibly representing Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi (JDS) ILAJI .
What the large attendance and presence of Political leaders , massively from all zones of Oyo state portends for the event ,least publicized in line with Adeseun’s inherent humble lifestyle nature was the simple fact ,that there exist unconsciously ,a political figure ,who has surreptitiously earned the respect,admiration and honour by others .
Sheik Ayilara,the Chief Imam of Ogbomoso while delivering the sermon described Senator Adeseun as a man of tremendous achievements which continue to lingers till date ,due to the humongous nature of those projects ,which he listed ,:Naval College and other federal establishments located,Roads constructed,Solar Boreholes provided,jobs facilitated etc .
These volumes still make him relevant ,now exactly than 10 years after exit from holding public
