
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will today, September 4, depart Abuja for Europe to begin his annual vacation, the Presidency has announced.
According to a statement issued on Thursday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the 10-day working vacation will be spent between France and the United Kingdom.
Onanuga said the trip marks part of the President’s 2025 annual leave schedule.
The statement read, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja today, September 4, to commence a working vacation in Europe, as part of his 2025 annual leave.

“The vacation will last 10 working days.
“President Tinubu will spend the period between France and the UK and then return to the country.”
Tinubu returned to Nigeria from Brazil last week after a state visit “aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries”.
The President was in Brazil for a two-day state visit.
He earlier departed Abuja for a working visit to Japan, with a brief stopover in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
In Japan, Tinubu participated in the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) in Yokohama from August 20 to 22.
On Monday, April 21, 2025, Tinubu returned to Abuja after a working visit and retreat in France and England, lasting 18 days.
Tinubu departed Nigeria on Wednesday, April 2, for the trip, spending some time in Paris, the French capital, before proceeding to London.
