In a powerful display of unity and determination, Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem, the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial aspirant for Oyo State, has launched his campaign for the 2027 governorship election in a grand Town Hall Meeting, Book Launch, and Fundraising event held in Bermondsey, London. The event, which brought together distinguished guests, elders, leaders, and supporters from across the United Kingdom, Germany, and Australia, marked a significant milestone in Dr. Kareem’s quest for the Oyo State governorship.
In his opening speech, Dr. Kareem emphasized that the gathering was not just about him, but about a shared vision for a greater Oyo State, a stronger Nigeria, and a brighter future for their children.
Dr. Kareem, who holds the chieftaincy title “Fakhar Soliheen of Oyo State” (The Pride of the Righteous of Oyo State), outlined his vision for Oyo State, emphasizing the need for transparent, inclusive, and innovation-driven leadership. He highlighted his track record of service, including the founding of Boiling Point International Schools and Attaofeequ Billahi International School, as well as his philanthropic efforts in supporting schools, awarding scholarships, and assisting institutions and individuals in need.
The event was a testament to the growing momentum behind Dr. Kareem’s campaign, with key supporters and stakeholders pledging their backing for his gubernatorial bid. Among those recognized for their contributions were Accountant Abdul Maroof Olagboyega (Saymore), Mrs. Anjola Olagboyega, Alhaja Bilikisu Savage, and numerous other stakeholders and dignitaries.
In his closing remarks, Dr. Kareem declared that the gathering marked the beginning of a greater journey, one that would culminate in victory in 2027. He urged supporters to join him in building a movement founded on unity, service, and hope, stating that “Oyo State will rise again” and “Nigeria will rise again.”
