As Oyo State looks ahead to 2027, Oyo APC Governorship Hopeful, Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK), has declared that his political philosophy and development blueprint are open to all politicians who genuinely seek to transform the state.
Speaking during a radio interview on Petals FM 102.3, I made it clear that I am not worried about anyone “copying and pasting” my initiatives. What matters to me is not ownership of ideas, but the progress of Oyo State. If my policy frameworks on education reform, healthcare expansion, industrial parks, agricultural mechanisation, and youth-driven economic growth inspire others, then the people of Oyo ultimately win.
I stressed that the political culture must evolve beyond insults and blanket condemnation of all politicians. The time of generalised abuse should give way to issue-based engagement. I encouraged citizens to begin asking critical questions: What do you intend to do differently? What measurable solutions are you bringing? What structural reforms will you implement?
According to me, governance must be anchored on vision, competence, and accountability—not noise.
I also noted that genuine politicians who fear God and are driven by service will always emerge at the right time, God willing. Such individuals must be encouraged, not discouraged by a toxic political environment. When credible people are constantly abused alongside the corrupt, it weakens the incentive for principled leadership.
I reiterated that my book and policy direction are accessible to all because leadership is not about secrecy—it is about impact. If Oyo State must move forward, politics must shift from personality attacks to policy debates, from anger to ideas, and from slogans to structured solutions.
The 2027 conversation, I believe, must be about who has the most practical, data-driven and implementable blueprint to reposition Oyo State for sustainable growth and prosperity.
