Abuja, Nigeria – In a significant development aimed at bolstering the fight against insecurity in Nigeria, Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho, a prominent Yoruba nation activist, has pledged his unwavering support for the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR. This commitment was made during a courtesy visit to the residence of former Deputy Inspector General of Police, DIG Frederick Taiwo Lakanu (rtd), in Abuja today.

Chief Sunday Igboho, accompanied by His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Francis Olushola Alao, the Olugbon of Orile Igbon, engaged in a wide-ranging discussion with DIG Lakanu on various issues affecting the South West region, with a view to proffering solutions to the challenges. DIG Lakanu, a highly respected and recognized “Super Cop” known for his exceptional expertise in crime-fighting, investigation, and strategic management, shared his valuable insights on the matter.

The discussions, which centered on ways to address the growing concerns of insecurity and banditry in the South West, also underscored the need for the Igbo to present a united front to secure the release of Nnamdi Kanu, in the interest of peace.

Chief Sunday Igboho expressed profound gratitude to President Tinubu for his support and all that he has done for him, and thanked all the kings in Yorubaland for their roles in facilitating his return, as well as all the sons and daughters of Yorubaland for standing behind him during the trying times.

“I committed myself to continue to pursue and complement government efforts in making Nigeria safe,” Chief Igboho said, as he pledged to support the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, the Nigeria Police, and other security agencies in fighting insecurity and flushing out bandits and other criminals from the South West and Nigeria.
