In a strong demonstration of my commitment to grassroots economic empowerment, my team presented the sum of ₦1 million to His Royal Majesty, the Onifiditi of Fiditi, to support the ongoing free interest loan initiative for traders in Fiditi and its surrounding communities.
This intervention is aimed at strengthening small-scale businesses, empowering market women, artisans, and local entrepreneurs, and stimulating community-based economic growth without the burden of high-interest repayments.

“Kabiyesi Is Our Father”
Speaking through my team, I described Kabiyesi as a father figure whose commitment to community development deserves full support.

“Kabiyesi, the Onifiditi, is our father. The development of his community and the prosperity of his people are paramount to us. Supporting this interest-free loan scheme is not just a donation; it is an investment in the dignity and productivity of our people.”
I further pledged an additional ₦4 million, contingent on positive feedback and measurable impact from the current intervention. This performance-based approach reflects my belief in accountability, sustainability, and measurable outcomes.
My Track Record of Supporting Traders
This initiative is consistent with my longstanding support for traders and small businesses across Oyo State. In the past, I have facilitated and personally funded several free interest loan schemes for petty traders, market associations, and small-scale entrepreneurs in different local government areas.
Beneficiaries have included food vendors, textile sellers, artisans, transport operators, and other informal sector operators who often struggle to access conventional bank financing due to collateral requirements and high interest rates.
By offering interest-free financial support, I have helped many small businesses stabilize operations, expand inventory, and increase household income — reinforcing my belief that economic empowerment must begin at the grassroots.
Small Scale Today, Bigger Impact Tomorrow
My ongoing community-based interventions reflect my broader economic philosophy, which prioritizes micro and small enterprises as engines of development. As part of my 2027 gubernatorial vision under the All Progressives Congress (APC), I have consistently promised structured support for small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs), including:
Expansion of state-backed interest-free and low-interest loan schemes
Business mentoring and financial literacy programs
Improved access to markets and infrastructure
Policies that reduce barriers to entrepreneurship
What I am doing now in communities like Fiditi is practical evidence of my commitment. If I can make impact without being in government, the scale of transformation will be significantly greater when entrusted with the mandate in 2027.
Strengthening Traditional Institutions and Local Economies
My collaboration with the Onifiditi of Fiditi underscores my recognition of the vital role traditional institutions play in grassroots development. By working through Kabiyesi’s leadership, the loan scheme is designed to reach credible beneficiaries while maintaining transparency and community trust.
As Oyo State moves toward 2027, my message remains clear: economic transformation must start from the market stalls, workshops, and small businesses that sustain everyday families. With sustained and structured support, these modest beginnings can evolve into statewide prosperity.
