Sunday Igboho Receives Agbekoya Leaders, Declares Unwavering Support For Tinubu’s 2027 Re-Election Bid

Ibadan, Oyo State – In a significant show of loyalty and gratitude, Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho, a prominent Yoruba activist, has declared his unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, citing the president’s kindness and assistance during his time of need.

In a heartfelt speech at his Soka residence, Igboho expressed his gratitude to President Tinubu, saying, “I give thanks to God and our father, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR. May God grant him a long life, and I pray that his second term will be successful, paving the way for his re-election.”

Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho, a vocal advocate for Yoruba rights, acknowledged the president’s role in securing his freedom, saying, “He granted me freedom after all the challenges that I faced in 2021. I will always be grateful to him.”

The Agbekoya leader (Chief Sunday Igboho) also saluted the monarchs of Yorubaland, including the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba (Sen) Abdulrashidi Adewolu Akanmu Ladoja ARUSA 1, and the Olugbon of Orile Igbon, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Francis Olusola Alao, for their unwavering support.

Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho emphasized his commitment to supporting President Tinubu’s re-election, saying, “I am committed to supporting Mr. President, and I declare that I am now his son. So if you truly love me, you must support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid.”

The Agbekoya Security and Peace Keeping delegation, led by Aare Omo’ba Kunle Adelakun Eruobodo, had paid a courtesy visit to Chief Sunday Igboho’s residence to recognize his achievements and contributions to the peace and security of Yorubaland.

In their welcome address, the delegation said, “It is with great honour and a deep sense of respect that we, the Agbekoya Security and Peace Keeping, warmly welcome our great father, Chief Dr. Adeniyi Sunday Adeyemo (Igboho Oosa), the Honoured Chief Security Officer, the Head of Delegation, and distinguished officers, to this auspicious occasion.”

The delegation also presented a portrait frame of a gallant warrior to Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho, symbolizing their appreciation for his dedication to the cause of peace and security in Yorubaland.

Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho thanked the Agbekoya Security and Peace Keeping for their recognition and support, saying, “I appreciate your visit to my home today. I thank the National Coordinator of Agbekoya Security & Peace Keeping, Aare Omo’ba Kunle Adelakun Eruobodo, the President General Agbekoya Parapo, Aare Kunle Oshodi, and all Agbekoya members across Nigeria for your solidarity in combating insecurity in the Southwest and Nigeria as a whole.”

The event was a testament to Chief Sunday Igboho’s enduring influence and reputation as a champion of Yoruba rights and security.

Chief Sunday Igboho’s declaration of support for President Tinubu is seen as a significant boost to the president’s re-election bid, given Igboho’s influence and popularity among Yoruba activists and traditional leaders.

The Agbekoya Security and Peace Keeping has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting all lawful efforts aimed at tackling security challenges and promoting peace within Nigeria.
