In a bold statement, Chief Sunday Majasola Adeyemo Igboho, a prominent Yoruba activist, has emphasized the importance of supporting candidates who have demonstrated loyalty and commitment to the people of Oyo State. Speaking during a visit by Agbekoya leaders to his Soka residence, Chief Sunday Igboho stressed that his organization will support candidates who have shown unwavering support for their cause and have not betrayed their trust.

Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho stated that whoever is in support of what they are doing deserves their support as well in the 2027 election in Oyo State. He said, “Someone you know cannot betray you. People who will not deny your personality after the election, those are the ones we have to support come the 2027 election in Oyo State.”

The Agbekoya leader’s statement is seen as a significant development in Oyo State politics, where alliances and endorsements are crucial in determining electoral outcomes. Sunday Adeyemo Igboho’s influence in the state is considerable, and his endorsement is likely to sway many voters.

The electorates are with us because we understand what they want, need, and what they want to hear. Whoever we want, the good people of Oyo State will support us. It’s not by power, but the Almighty God has approved it for us.”
