The Chairman of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria, Oyo State chapter, Mr. Abass Adewunmi Adekunle, has commended Governor ‘Seyi Makinde for his administration’s support to farmers in the state. This support has led to a significant increase in farmers’ output in 2024, resulting in a substantial decrease in food prices.
According to Adekunle, the Oyo State government provided comprehensive support to farmers, including farming inputs, fertilizers, cash, counsel, and tractors. This multifaceted approach has yielded bountiful harvests for farmers and made food items more affordable for the people of Oyo State.
Governor Makinde’s administration has implemented various initiatives to boost agricultural productivity in Oyo State. These efforts have transformed the state’s agricultural sector, making it a model for sustainable agricultural development.
