Oyo 2027: Transforming Lives Through Free Scholarships: My Commitment To Accessible Education — Dr. AKK

Spread the love

As someone deeply passionate about the future of our children and the development of Oyo State, I am pleased to announce the launch of this year’s Free Scholarship Program at Attaofeequ Billahi International School (ABIS)—an institution I founded to promote academic and moral excellence.

From August 11th to 15th, 2025, the first 10 students from Oyo State who register at ABIS will receive full scholarships covering the entirety of their academic stay. This is part of my ongoing effort to give back to the community and ensure that every child—regardless of background—has a chance to succeed through education.

This initiative is rooted in the vision I’ve consistently championed since 2022: the belief that “Every Child Matters.” Education remains, to me, the most powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty, promoting equity, and transforming communities. I am living proof of what education can do—and I want to give that same chance to as many young minds as possible.

Making Education More Affordable for All

Even beyond this scholarship program, I have made it a personal mission to make education more accessible and affordable. When we launched ABIS, tuition fees were over ₦1,000,000 per term—a reflection of the school’s high standard. But I recognized the need to remove financial barriers, so we significantly reduced the fees to between ₦60,000 and ₦105,000 per term.

This fee includes access to:

Qur’an memorization and Islamic studies

Vocational and life skills training

Digital literacy and technology integration

My goal is to ensure that our students not only excel academically, but also grow spiritually and practically in today’s world.

Boarding Options for a Balanced Learning Experience

To support a focused learning environment, ABIS offers weekly boarding facilities for both boys and girls. This structure allows students to concentrate on their studies during the week while still spending weekends with their families. It’s a balance that promotes both academic success and emotional wellbeing.

ABIS: A Vision Born from Experience and Faith

When I founded Attaofeequ Billahi International School, I envisioned a place where children from all walks of life could thrive—academically, morally, and socially. As the First Fakhar Soliheen of Oyo State, and someone shaped by both faith and knowledge, I’ve made it my mission to give back by building institutions that inspire and uplift.

Today, ABIS is a reflection of that vision: a serene, technologically advanced school environment committed to nurturing the next generation of leaders.

A Personal Invitation to Parents and Guardians

If you are a parent or guardian looking to secure a bright future for your child, this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for. Our school is built on compassion, excellence, and affordability. I encourage you to register early, take advantage of the subsidized fees, and be part of a school community that truly cares about the future of its students.

Final Thoughts

My journey, both in public service and education, has been driven by a single principle: leave no child behind. This scholarship is not just a financial gift—it is an invitation to join a growing movement for change, excellence, and opportunity in Oyo State.

I invite you to be part of this mission. Let’s raise leaders, one student at a time.
