Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Chief (Dr) Amos Adepoju, the Asiwaju of Igboora land and father of Rep. Anthony Adepoju, describing his death as a monumental loss.
Alli, in a condolence statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Ibadan, said the late Chief Adepoju was a gem, father and patriotic leader whose life of service remained exemplary.
“We lost a gem, a father and a patriotic leader. Our father, the Asiwaju of Igboora land, lived a life worthy of emulation. He was a committed and dedicated leader who used all the positions he had the opportunity to hold in serving God, humanity and the Ibarapa community,” Alli said.
The Senator recalled with pride the various key positions the late Asiwaju held, including Rector of The Polytechnic Ibadan, Chairman of 3SC/IICC, Resident Electoral Commissioner in Nasarawa State, Administrative Secretary of Peoples’ Conscience Party (PCP), Pioneer National Financial Secretary of the PDP, and Commissioner at the Board of Immigration, Civil Defence, Correctional and Fire Service.

Alli extended heartfelt condolences to Rep. Adepoju, the Adepoju family, the good people of Igboora and the entire Ibarapa land, praying that Almighty God accepts the return of the departed leader and grants his soul eternal rest.
