Dr. Temitope Oladimeji (OTOPE), Director-General of the Oyo State Liaison Office in Abuja and Lagos, and a dedicated PDP chieftain from Egbeda/Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, has joined Muslims in Oyo State, Nigeria, and across the globe to celebrate this year’s Mawlid Al-Nabi, the commemoration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Speaking with deep joy, OTOPE described the occasion as a reminder of the Prophet’s enduring legacy of mercy, kindness, and humility. He noted that the Prophet’s teachings are not only for Muslims but for the whole of humanity, as they emphasize peaceful coexistence, justice, and compassion for one another.
“Mawlid Al-Nabi is more than a celebration; it is a call to live with love and tolerance. The Prophet showed us that service to others is service to God. If we embrace these values, our communities and our nation will be stronger,” OTOPE said.
He prayed that the season brings peace to every home in Oyo State and across Nigeria, and asked that Almighty Allah bless the nation with unity, prosperity, and progress.

Dr. Oladimeji concluded by wishing Muslims everywhere a joyful celebration, adding:
“May the light of the Prophet’s example continue to shine in our lives, and may this day inspire us all to build a more just and compassionate society.”
