Olubadan, Onpetu, Adelabu Adegoke, Others Attend Ooni’s Conferment of Prestigious ‘Okanlomo Oodua’ Title On Dotun Sanusi

Oyo State, Nigeria – In a grand ceremony steeped in tradition and cultural splendor, His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II), the Ooni of Ife, has conferred the esteemed chieftaincy title of Okanlomo of Oodua on Chief. Engr. Dr. Jubril Dotun Sanusi, a distinguished business tycoon, philanthropist, and ardent advocate for the development of Yorubaland and Nigeria as a whole.

The investiture, which took place at the sacred palace of the Ooni of Ife, was attended by prominent traditional leaders, government officials, and captains of industry, who gathered to honor Chief Dotun Sanusi’s outstanding contributions to the growth and prosperity of the nation. Among the dignitaries present were the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Senator) Abdulrashidi Adewolu Akanmu Ladoja Arusa 1; the Onpetu of Ijeru Kingdom, Oba Sunday Oladapo, Lagbami Osekun III; the Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Samuel Adebayo Adegbola Ajobo Olurin I; the Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Olawale Oyebola Adeyeri III; and former First Lady of Oyo State, Chief Mrs Mutiyat Ladoja;

The Ooni of Ife, in his citation, praised Chief Dotun Sanusi’s unwavering commitment to excellence, his philanthropic endeavors, and his tireless efforts to promote economic development and social welfare in Nigeria. He described Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi as a true son of Yorubaland, a visionary leader, and a champion of the people.

The investiture ceremony was attended by prominent dignitaries, Notably, the Ooni of Ife shared the same birthday with Chief Dotun Sanusi and blessed him, saying the title ‘Okanlomo Oodua’ came from the Oodua.
