The Oyo State Government has terminated the appointment of her Honourable Commissioner for Works, Infrastructure and Transport, Prof. Raphael Afonja.
Prof. Raphael who has been in isolation and receiving treatments for COVID-19 resumed back to office today to attend to issues that arose during his absence but was cut short with a letter of termination of appointment.
The letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Olubamiwo Adeosun states that the termination takes immediate effect as it is dated August 10, 2020.
Concurently, the Governor also redeployed some EXCO members, interchanging the offices of Chief Bayo Lawal and Hon. Funmilayo Orisadeyi from and to the Commissioner for Special Duties and the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy respectively.
