As part of my ongoing statewide consultations ahead of the 2027 governorship election, I paid a courtesy visit to leaders of the Christian Association and Cherubim & Seraphim (C & S) churches in Ibarapa Land, in continuation of my engagement with religious and traditional institutions across Oyo State.

The visit was aimed at seeking prayers, moral guidance, and constructive engagement, while reaffirming my deep respect for faith, culture, experience, and people-centred leadership. I firmly believe that leadership anchored on strong moral values and the fear of God remains the foundation for sustainable governance and societal progress.

During the visit, I formally presented my book, Our Realistic Tomorrow, a comprehensive leadership and development blueprint that clearly articulates my vision for a progressive, fair, peaceful, and opportunity-driven Oyo State. I explained that the book reflects lessons drawn from governance and leadership experiences within Oyo State, across Nigeria, and from my international exposure.

As a School Leader with the New South Wales Department of Education in Australia, my exposure to structured governance systems, inclusive public policies, and accountability-driven leadership has further strengthened my conviction that Oyo State can achieve sustainable growth through purposeful leadership, strategic planning, and people-focused governance.

In my remarks, I emphasized the importance of humility, reflection, and continuous learning in leadership, noting that learning from experience is not an admission of failure, but an addition to wisdom. I strongly believe that societies advance when leaders are willing to listen, learn, and improve upon past experiences for the collective good of the people.

I stated clearly that while the Western world has benefited from my wide professional experience, the time has come to bring that wealth of knowledge, expertise, and human-centred leadership back home for the benefit of Oyo State. Quoting from the Holy Bible, I affirmed that my entry into politics is rooted in the desire to do good, serve humanity selflessly, and govern with the fear of God.

I also demonstrated my deep understanding of biblical principles, reaffirming that my approach to governance will be guided by God-consciousness, justice, compassion, integrity, and accountability. I assured that all people of Oyo State—irrespective of religion, ethnicity, or background—will benefit from a government founded on fairness, sincerity, and inclusiveness, and will have cause to thank God.

On this occasion, I formally declared my intention to run for the governorship of Oyo State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). I emphasized that my aspiration is not driven by personal ambition, but by a sincere and enduring commitment to serve the people.

I am running for the governorship of Oyo State not out of ambition for power, but from a deep-seated conviction that Oyo State can become what we all believe it should be—a state of progress, fairness, peace, and equal opportunities for all.

I described religious leaders as custodians of moral values and the conscience of society, stressing that any meaningful and sustainable development agenda must be anchored on respect for faith, culture, and continuous engagement with institutions that shape community values and social harmony.

In their response, leaders of the Christian Association and C & S churches in Ibarapa Land warmly welcomed me and commended the clarity and depth of my vision as presented in Our Realistic Tomorrow. They urged political leaders to always prioritize the welfare of the people, promote unity, uphold peace, and pursue inclusive and God-honouring governance.
