In a significant show of solidarity and unity, Tpl. (Dr.) Adesokan Samuel Adelodun, aspirant for Oyo State House of Assembly, Ibarapa East State Constituency, paid a courtesy visit to Chief Sunday Adeyemo (Igboho Oosa), the prominent Yoruba leader, at his Soka, Ibadan residence today, January 29, 2026. The visit was aimed at congratulating Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho on his recent release from exile and reaffirming support for his tireless efforts in promoting Yoruba unity and cultural heritage.
Accompanying Dr. Adesokan on the visit was Chief (Mrs.) Raliat Rasheed, CEO of DEC Event Centre, Eruwa–Lanlate Road, Orita, Ibarapa East Local Government Area. During the meeting, Dr. Adesokan expressed his admiration for Chief Igboho’s unwavering commitment to the Yoruba cause, describing him as a symbol of resilience and determination.

“Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho’s unwavering dedication to our people is an inspiration to many. His voice has been a beacon of hope, and his release is a testament to the power of collective efforts,” Dr. Adesokan said.
Dr. Adesokan also commended the efforts of traditional rulers, including the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba(Sen) Abdulrashidi Adewolu Ladoja ARUSA 1, and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, for their roles in securing Chief Sunday Igboho’s freedom. Furthermore, he expressed gratitude to the President of Nigeria, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) for removing Chief Sunday Igboho’s name from the wanted list, describing it as a fatherly gesture that underscores his leadership and commitment to nation-building.
Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho, in his response, thanked Tpl. Dr. Adesokan Samuel Adelodun for the visit and pledged to continue working towards the betterment of the Yoruba people. The meeting was a significant display of solidarity and unity among Yoruba leaders, highlighting their shared commitment to promoting cultural heritage and community development.
