Egbeda, Oyo State – The 4th edition of the annual Ramadan Lecture is set to hold on Wednesday, 4th March, 2026, at the Egbeda Local Government Secretariat, Oyo State, Nigeria, with the theme “Combating Insecurity in a Plural Nation: Islamic Solution for Peace and Security”. The event, which is being hosted by Sanda Sikiru Oyedele, the Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government and the Chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), aims to promote peaceful coexistence and address security challenges through Islamic perspectives.
The lecture is expected to feature renowned Islamic scholar, Habibulahi Adekunle Bukhari, as the keynote speaker, while the Chief Imam of the Akobo and Environ Muslim Community will deliver a special address as guest speaker. The event is part of efforts to use religious teachings to foster unity, security awareness, and peaceful living in the society.


In a statement, Hon. Sanda extended an invitation to residents, Islamic faithful, and members of the public to attend the event, emphasizing the importance of coming together to address the pressing issue of insecurity in the nation. “We are pleased to host this important lecture, which aligns with our commitment to promoting peace and security in our community,” he said.
