Abductors have released the twins of the popular Ibadan islamic cleric Taofeek Akewugbagold.
In a post made early Sunday morning Sheikh Akewugbagold said they were released to him along a bsuh part.
ALHAMDULILLAH! AT 5.30AM OF SUNDAY 3RD MAY, MY ABDUCTED TWIN KIDS ARE RELEASED TO ME BESIDE A BUSH AFTER 8DAYS IN AN UNKNOWN LAND.
THANKS TO U ALL FOR FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT, JAZAKUMULLAHU KHAIRAN. ABERE MI BO SINU OKUN, OLOUN YO PADA FUN MI.”
The twins, a male and a female, were kidnapped at gunpoint at Abatakan area of Ojoo, Ibadan, days ago.
Their parent had appealed to the abductors of his twins to release the two children. During the week, the abductors contacted the parent and demanded ransom.
It was not clear if the ransom was actually paid.
